Black UGREEN Uno 65W robot charger with LED face, two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, standing on magnetic feet.

UGREEN Uno 65W Robot Charger Review: The $34 Charger With a Face That Smiles While It Charges

Verdict: Worth it — a genuinely laptop-capable 65W charger redesigned as a little robot whose LED face smiles while it charges, at the same price as a boring brick.

Our rating: 4.5/5

Why we noticed it

Most 65W GaN chargers are anonymous black rectangles. This one is not. UGREEN took a perfectly ordinary three-port charger and gave it a robot body, an LED face with three expressions, and magnetic feet that cover the prongs. It is the rare charger that people photograph on their desk on purpose. It was originally sold as the UGREEN Nexode RG 65W; the same model (CD361) is now listed under the Uno name, so don’t be confused if older reviews call it the Nexode RG.

What it does

The Uno is a compact GaN wall charger with 65W of total power across two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. Used alone, the first USB-C port delivers up to 65W — enough for a MacBook Air, an iPad, a Steam Deck, or a fast-charging phone. With more devices plugged in, the power is shared (see the catch below). The LED face shows three expressions: standby, charging, and fully charged. It also has Thermal Guard temperature monitoring plus short-circuit, overload, and overvoltage protection. It measures about 2.65 × 1.85 × 1.68 inches and weighs half a pound.

What we like

  • The robot face is charming and genuinely useful as a status indicator — you can tell at a glance whether something is still charging.
  • Real laptop-grade power in a small body: 65W from a single port, not just a phone brick with a cute shell.
  • Three devices at once from one outlet: laptop, phone, and earbuds, with no extra bricks.
  • The magnetic feet protect the prongs in a bag and let the robot stand on a desk like a little guard when it is unplugged.
  • There is barely a cuteness premium at current pricing — it costs about the same as a plain 65W GaN charger.
  • Editorial testers found it runs cool for a 65W brick.

The catch

  • The 65W is shared, not per-port. With all three ports in use the split is 45W + 7.5W + 7.5W, so don’t expect full-speed laptop and phone charging at the same time. It is also not the charger for a 16-inch MacBook Pro or a gaming laptop that shipped with a bigger brick.
  • No cable is included in the box. You need your own 65W-capable USB-C cable to hit top speeds; an old weak cable will bottleneck it.
  • The prongs don’t fold, and the feet must come off before you plug it in. Reviewers warn the small magnetic feet are easy to lose, and the chunky square body can crowd neighboring outlets on a power strip.
  • The face shows expressions only — not wattage or battery percentage — and full-charge detection doesn’t work on every device.

Who it’s for / who should skip it

For: desk and travel setups, a gift for a tech lover or student, anyone juggling a phone, laptop, and earbuds who is tired of carrying multiple bricks, and Steam Deck or Switch travelers.

Skip: anyone who needs 100W or more for a large laptop, anyone who wants a folding plug or a wattage display, anyone who wants a charger that disappears behind furniture (this one is meant to be seen), and anyone who will lose small detachable parts.

How we evaluated it

Rbay Finds reviews are researched and curated, not hands-on tested. Our findings come from product specs, customer reviews, and creator coverage. Rating note: The Amazon US listing was verified November 2, 2026 at 4.8 out of 5 across 6,163 ratings. Alternatives

  1. UGREEN Uno 100W — the same robot idea with four ports and a TFT face, for buyers who need more than 65W. Bigger and pricier.
  2. UGREEN Uno 30W — the same robot in miniature, with a single USB-C port. Phone and earbuds only, no laptop charging.
  3. GravaStar Alpha 65W GaN Charger — another robot-styled 65W charger, with a more industrial robot look and a higher price.

FAQ

Does it come with a charging cable? No. Cables are sold separately; use a 65W-capable USB-C cable for full speed.

Can it charge a laptop and a phone at the same time? Yes, but the 65W is split between ports (for example 45W + 20W), so both charge slower than they would alone.

Do I have to take the feet off to use it? Yes, the feet cover the prongs. On the US version they are magnetic, so you can stick them to a metal surface while charging.

Does the face show charging speed or battery percentage? No, only three expressions: standby, charging, and fully charged.

Final verdict

The Uno is the rare gadget that earns its cuteness: it is a competent 65W charger first and a desk toy second, and at current pricing it costs no more than the boring alternative. Just buy a proper cable with it, and keep track of the feet.
